West Ham leave Payet out

Dimitri Payet starts on the bench for the Hammers, as does captain Mark Noble who clearly hasn't recovered from that knock sustained at Leicester. Bilic's side will fancy their chances against City's centre back pairing of
Alexsandar Kolarov and Nicolas Otamendi, but they have endured some miserable outings at the new stadium this season.

Pep Guardiola taking the competition seriously

That's a fearsome front four of Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero for City; Guardiola making his intentions very clear. It looks as if Pablo Zabaleta will start alongside Yaya Toure in central midfield with Bacary Sagna at right back.
Manchester City are once again without dynamic midfielder Fernandinho who has been handed a four-game ban after his second red card in a little more than a month against Burnley. İlkay Gündoğan, Vincent Kompany and Leroy Sané are all medium to long-term absentees with injury while Fernando is a doubt.

What are they saying?
Pep Gaurdiola:  “What I saw in the last game against Burnley and the behaviour, for example, [two days before that in the 1-0 defeat by] Liverpool and so on, when we need results it’s maybe more [about] my regret than the regrets of the players.
“The players have been amazing. We have changed many things about the way we’re going to play this season so it was a special moment against Burnley.
“To see how they fought in such difficult circumstances [with 10 men for almost an hour after Fernandinho’s red card], it was so emotional for me as a coach. So when I say to them I love them, it’s because really I love them.
